Super Bowl Advertising Still Available for Small to Mid-Sized Businesses

In a month, Super Bowl LXVI on February 5th, 2012 in Indianapolis will be history.

Yet TV commercials – which cost half a million dollars more than last year – have been sold out for some time! This cost eliminates most small to mid-sized businesses that would like to take advantage of the huge exposure but find the cost too much for a 30-second spot. AirSign Aerial Advertising provides a unique alternative. They are now offering a win-win Super Bowl advertising opportunityto such businesses.

AirSign has been a leading provider of aerial banner and billboard ads since 1996. “We are now offering companies an opportunity to fly their message over Indianapolis’ events during the week preceding the game as well as on Super Sunday,” says Patrick Walsh, president of AirSign. The first win is the cost. These ads will appear much longer through the afternoon and cost far less than even one 30-second TV commercial.

The other win is the fact that the Lucas Oil Stadium has a retractable roof that opens a four-acre window to the sky for all the fans present. Think of this as a window of advertising opportunity for, when that window is open, it will allow the fans to see a company’s message flying above throughout the game, as well as before and after it. Riddell Leads Industry with Initial Season of Use/Maximum Life Label Providing Valuable Helmet Age Information

Riddell announced it will be the first manufacturer to provide users with an easy-to-read, initial season of use/maximum life label. The label will be affixed to the exterior of its helmets as part of Riddell’s commitment to designing and manufacturing football helmets and equipment to provide athletes with the highest level of protection possible.

The initial season of use/maximum life label clearly shows a helmet’s year of manufacture, as well as its maximum lifespan, so athletes, coaches and parents can easily determine when to replace their equipment. A new policy from the National Athletic Equipment Reconditioners Association (NAERA) states any football helmet 10 years and older will no longer be eligible for reconditioning and recertification. This new label will be affixed to the back of every new Riddell helmet and any helmet reconditioned at a Riddell facility.   Read more
