Eight Finalists Will Compete For an Ultimate Football Weekend in Miami, FL

Philips Norelco and pro-football legend Mike Ditka have teamed up this season to test consumers’ football trivia knowledge — everyone from rookies to die-hard fans are invited to participate in the Norelco “Ultimate Football Weekend” Contest. All fans can try-out, but only eight finalists will make the team and test their skills for the Grand Prize — an Ultimate Football Weekend in Miami, FL in February 2010.

“I’m excited to join the Philips Norelco team and help host the Trivia Bowl finals,” says Hall of Fame player/coach Mike Ditka. “Football is about more than just following a favorite team season after season. It’s about knowing the record-breaking stats, the little-known facts about the legends and the history-making plays that truly make football one of America’s favorite traditions.”

Starting November 16, 2009, football fans will have the opportunity to flex their trivia muscles in the hopes of becoming one of eight finalists who will win an all-expense-paid trip to New York City to compete in the Norelco Trivia Bowl finals. Each week, a new set of seven trivia questions will be available on www.NorelcoMVP.com and consumers answering all questions correctly will automatically be eligible to be selected as one of eight finalists. The Philips Norelco Trivia Bowl finals will take place at ESPN Zone in NYC’s Times Square on January 13, 2010. The Philips Norelco Trivia Bowl will be hosted by Coach Ditka and emceed by acclaimed sports radio host Mike Greenberg of ESPN’s “Mike & Mike in the Morning.”

The grand prize winner of the Philips Norelco Trivia Bowl and one guest will be flown to Miami, FL for the Ultimate Football Weekend on February 4-8, 2010. This grand prize also includes an invitation to the ESPN Next Party, a complete football entertainment package and cash prize of $1,000.

Those fans who don’t to make it to the finals still have a chance to win and will be entered into a sweepstakes drawing for one of 50 secondary prizes, including a variety of the latest Philips’ electronics products, ESPN.com Insider subscriptions, pro football merchandise and more.
