Arizona Cardinals hire Iowa’s Aiken as defensive line coach (AP)
Jim Aiken, defensive line coach at Iowa, has been hired for the same job with the Arizona Cardinals. Aiken had at Iowa since 1999 and worked with new Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt at Vanderbilt from 1995-1996. Aiken is the final assistant hired by Whisenhunt, hired to replace Dennis Green. Aiken has also worked at San Diego State, Texas and New Mexico.

Cowboys add Phillips’ son, Nguyen as coaches
Wesley Phillips, the son of new Cowboys coach Wade Phillips, and former linebacker Dat Nguyen have been added to Dallas’ coaching staff.
Wesley Phillips was named an offensive assistant coach, the team said in a posting on its Web site Tuesday night. The 27-year-old was quarterbacks coach at Baylor last season.
Nguyen, a former Dallas standout who retired last year because of a neck injury, was named an assistant linebackers coach.
